Ladakh is one of the most enchanting regions and one of the most popular tourist attractions of India. the weeklong ‘Journey to Ladakh’ tour explores two naturally furnished regions of Ladakh- Pangong Lake and Nubra Valley. The Nubra Valley is a cluster of tiny villages with irrigated and fertile land. The presence of Buddhist monasteries can be rightly attributed to its natives which are followers of Buddhism at large. Next there is Pangong Lake which is an important breeding ground for migratory birds such as Brahmini Ducks and Bar-headed goose. Indulge in sightseeing and shopping in Leh, bird watching at Pangong Lake and Camel Safari at Nubra Valley
Day 01: Leh Arrival
On arrival at Leh airport, our executive will be there to meet you and transfer you to your pre booked hotel/Guest house. Complete day for rest and leisure to acclimatize followed by Welcome tea or Coffee at the Hotel. Evening Visit to Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa & Leh Market. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02: Leh to Alchi
In the morning, After Breakfast, drive towards west of Leh to Visit Alchi Monastery. and explore the miniature paintings of Alchi Monastery. The foundation stone of Alchi Gompa was founded between 958 – 1055 AD. The complex is placed on the banks of river Indus. En route, drive past Magnetic Hall and confluence of Indus and Zanskar River at Nimu. While heading back to Leh, en route visit Military Hall of Fame- a maseum constructed and maintained by the army in the memory of war heroes. Stay overnight at the hotel in Leh
Day 03: Leh to Nubra Valley
Early morning, After breakfast at the leh hotel, pack your bags and be ready as you are driven to the Magical Nubra Valley via Khardongla Pass which is situated at a height of 18360 ft and considered as the highest motorable pass of the world. You can enjoy astounding views of Himalayas and its several peaks while on this pass. During further, you will finally reach the Nubra Valley, and will be taken to a scenic village called Hunder. Arriving in this village, you will get to explore and discover the enchanting sand dunes that are among the must-visit attractions in almost all the Leh Ladakh tour packages. In the afternoon, explore Hunder & Diskit monastery and white sand dunes via camel safari. The safari tour is done with double humped camels that are found only in Nubra Valley. Overnight stay will be arranged in a deluxe campsite.
Day 04: Nubra valley to Leh
The morning for Day 4 is for visiting Samstanling Manastery known for its serene ambiance and assembly halls with artifacts. You will be driven back to Leh via Khardongla Pass. The evening is scheduled for exploring the local bazars (markets) of Leh. One can purchase shopping items Pashmina shawls, Chinese cutleries, good pearls and Ladakhi woolen handicrafts. Stay overnight at the hotel in Leh.
Day 05: Leh to Pangong Lake
Today will be one of the most captivating days of your amazing Ladakh tour as you will be driven to the stunning Pangong Tso Lake after your breakfast. You will drive Pangong Lake through Changla pass (5,300 mtr, 17,586 ft) world third highest motorable road in the world. After 2 hrs of drive you reach to Changla pass, stop for a short period for photography. Drive ascending towards Pangong reach Tangtse where you can relax for a cup of coffee/tea. Leaving Tangtse for Pangong you pass through few small villages of Changthang and finally you can have a sudden view of the Pangong lake. This famous high altitude Lake of Pangong you can spend the day witnessing and revelling in its alluring charm and appeal! A treasure trove for the nature lovers, leisure seekers, honeymooners, shutterbugs, and other types of visitors, a visit to Pangong Tso Lake will get you close to Ladakh’s mesmerising beauty and appeal. Overnight in tented Camp.
Day 06: Pangong lake to Leh
During early morning, you can enjoy the most mystical views of the Pangong Tso Lake under the clutch of the mist and magic! Treasure these mesmerising views, you can also enjoy a photo-session around the lake. Later have breakfast and drive back to Leh. On the way, if you want you can halt at the richest and the largest monastery of Ladakh, Hemis Monastery Ladakh. Afternoon arrival in Leh. Your arrival in the city will be followed by your checking-in into a hotel, where you can either spend the rest of the day at leisure or indulge in some individual activities followed by your overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 07: Departure from Leh
After breakfast, transfer to the airport to catch the flight for onward destinations.
